What a nice episode. All my questions were answered and I noticed that all episodes that involved Inspector Yamato was that, he became a suspect or a bad guy like that Haibara and Hakase episode

so, is the old grizzled dude with one eye the Nagano Prefecture Police boss... or is he actually Rum? or is that just Shinichi's crazy overactive 'everything is connected to the Black Organization' paranoia talking? dude's been in a coma for around a decade, 'allegedly'. i seriously doubt the BO would leave Rum laying around in a coma. or did they replace the actual cop with Rum while the cop was in a coma???

ok, second point. let me see if i got this plotline right. 10 years ago, Kensuke's buddy buys a gun from the Woodpecker Society of corrupt cops who were selling seized guns. the buddy waves around that gun firing it off at random in town while high on drugs. the girl gets shot in the head and dies during this incident. she was the little sister of the cop who was committing serial cop killings in revenge. the first cop who died and got his head severed, he was the one who shot Kensuke's drugged up buddy who killed the little sister. to join the Woodpecker Society, that little girls' big bro changes his name and joins the police force, becomes a detective, and the Woodpeckers recruit him due to him having a famous general's name. or did he change his name after he became a cop? 'allegedly' because his parents divorced? why would you change your name as an adult because your parents divorced? did his mom actually HAVE a last name like one of those generals? so, the Woodpeckers didn't vet the guy? they didn't check his background, see he had a name change, and see what his old family name was and how his sister died? that's how the cop killing big bro led the SECOND guy to go back to his house and go over his personal copies of old case files? his little sister's death right?
